Cubic Wave #5
This art series was born based on a series from a contemporary lithuanian folkloric weave design and funcitonal acoustic art to enhance acoustics of a music space.
The absorption of sound energy occurs when sound waves hit hard surfaces (like walls or ceilings), they reflect and cause echoes or reverb. Acoustic art panels absorb much of this energy, especially in the mid to high-frequency range, reducing reflections and helping to create a clearer, more controlled sound environment. Acoustic art reduces standing waves and flutter echoes. In untreated rooms, sound waves can bounce back and forth between parallel surfaces, creating standing waves or flutter echoes. Acoustic art disrupts this pattern by breaking up the sound path and absorbing excess energy, improving the accuracy of audio recordings and mixes. Art acoustincs bring aesthetic integration with function, they enhance the space’s visual character and creative energy.
Visual pattern art has a unique ability to influence brainwave activity. Repetitive, symmetrical, or intricate designs can promote a state of calm, focus, or deep contemplation. Rhythmic patterns often encourage the brain to enter relaxed alpha or meditative theta states, while complex or dynamic visuals can stimulate heightened awareness through gamma wave activity. Whether soothing or energizing, pattern-based art engages the viewer on both a neurological and emotional level, offering an immersive experience that connects visual beauty with cognitive response.
