Mythical Codes (2014–2023)
Mythical Codes investigates patterned language as a perceptual and symbolic system. Drawing from Lithuanian folkloric motifs alongside references to ancient geometric traditions, the series examines how repetition, symmetry, and visual rhythm guide perception toward coherence. Rather than functioning as narrative symbols, these patterns operate as cognitive structures—activating the viewer’s continual search for alignment and completion.
Through optical modulation and rhythmic organization, the works engage visual processing at a sustained level, producing an experience of prolonged attention and perceptual focus. Mythical Codes represents an early and ongoing inquiry into how structured visual systems can hold complexity while maintaining internal order.
