Circles Series I
This body of work represents a finite investigation into singular return and inner continuity.
Circle Series I investigates the human capacity to return to a singular internal center amid destabilization. Each work employs a single disappearing line of infinity as a structural device, reflecting one sustained axis of continuity held against external pressure. The series approaches resilience not as resistance, but as containment—where stillness, tension, and movement coexist within a unified field. Created in 2025, this body of work represents a finite and intentionally closed inquiry.
Formally, the series engages perception through precisely controlled circular compositions that guide the viewer’s gaze inward. Drawing on principles of optical processing and spatial perception, the works utilize nuanced transitions of light and shadow to create an illusion of depth on a two-dimensional surface. This calibrated visual tension produces a sustained viewing experience in which movement, stillness, and spatial expansion remain in quiet equilibrium.
