Circles of Intention

This art piece was inspired by the traditional meditative act of holding intentional words for manifestation and reflection of life values as used in a prayer mala.  In a prayer mala, a prayer or an intention is repeated 108 times with each bead of the mala until it completes the entire mala and comes back to the starting place in completion. A prayer mala was gifted to me in the stone of snow quartz that is the inspiration of the color scheme of this piece and whose energy inspired me to create an art piece with positive intentions. Snow quartz is a calm and soothing stone that has a soft feminine energy. It can be used to balance the yin and yang energies, align and balance the energy in the body.  

Snow quartz facilitates mental clarity and alertness during meditation. It also teaches patience, discretion and discernment within relationships.  It holds the energy of purification and supporting the immune system.

There are 500 circles in this painting. Each circle was painted with the intention of a word that was offered by a community of 500 people who were asked for a word of positivity that they would like to manifest in the world. 

The overall painting creates an optical illusion of going within as the circles become more dense and smaller towards the center. As we go within, as in states of quiet and meditation, there is the opportunity for self-realization and connecting to how we will move forward in life.  I consider this art piece a talisman of positive energy as it was created with intention from 500 people with similar aims, Love being the most intentional word among them.
